Built as an alternative to the sales floor
Hearing healthcare in the United States drifted toward retail. Warehouse clubs, manufacturer owned chains, and insurance administrators turned a clinical process into a transaction, and patients felt it. People arrive at our office holding devices that were never verified, never adjusted, and never explained.
Clearwave Hearing and Audiology exists to put the clinical part back in front. Every patient starts with a full diagnostic evaluation. Results are explained in plain language, in the same visit, with the audiogram on the screen. If treatment is warranted, we discuss options and costs in writing. If it is not, we say so and set a recheck interval.
That approach is slower than a sales pitch. It is also why patients stay with us for a decade and send their families in.

Your audiologist holds a Doctor of Audiology degree, the clinical doctorate required to independently evaluate and treat hearing and tinnitus disorders. Training covers diagnostic test interpretation, the medical conditions that mimic or cause hearing loss, hearing aid electroacoustics, and the counseling that helps patients adapt to amplified sound.
At Clearwave the audiologist personally performs the diagnostic evaluation, the device selection discussion, the real ear verification, and the follow up visits. Continuity matters in this field, because a hearing aid that fits well on day one still needs adjustment at week three and again at month six.

A hearing instrument dispenser is licensed to sell and fit hearing aids after a shorter training path and does not perform full diagnostic evaluations.
